چکیده
In this study, the flexural performance of a new composite beam–slab system filled with concrete material was investigated, where mainly prepared from lightweight cold-formed steel sections beam and deck slab for carrying heavy floor loads as another concept conventional lower cost impact. For purpose, seven samples profile sheet–dry board (PSSDB/PDS) carried by C-purlins (CB) were named “composite CBPDS specimen”, which tested under static bending load. Specifically, effects sheet (PSS) direction (parallel or perpendicular to span specimen) using different configurations (double connected face-to-face, double separate sections, single section) investigated. The research discussed specimens’ failure modes, behavior, capacity, strain relationships, energy absorption index specimens. Generally, specimens PSS placed in parallel achieved approximately 13–40% higher capacity compared corresponding (depending on configuration beam). Fabricating specimen (face-to-face) led more effective confinement behavior beam. related recorded 10% capacity. Finally, suggested exhibited sufficient capability load because it demonstrated high strength ductility.

Flexural Performance of High-strength Prestressed Concrete-encased Concrete-filled Steel Tube Sections
The sections composed of concrete and steel, which include concrete-encased concrete-filled tubes, generally have defects due to the low tensile strength of concrete. Therefore, an appropriate method was used for the combination of concrete-filled tubes (CFT) and prestressing strands which is encased in concrete. The conventional design guidelines are commonly developed for materials with norma...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation on Cold-Formed Steel Foamed Concrete Composite Wall under Compression
A series of tests on cold-formed steel foamed concrete (CSFC) composite walls subjected to axial load were proposed. The primary purpose of the experiments was to study the mechanical behavior and identify the failure modes of CSFC composite walls. Two main factors were considered in this study: 1) specimen with pouring foamed concrete or without and 2) different foamed concrete density ranks (...
متن کاملCyclic Loading Tests for Cold-Formed Steel Wall Frames with Lightweight Concrete
Lightweight steel framing is a method in housing and construction that have been widely used in lightweight steel construction. In this method, the structure is built by cold formed steel elements. They are cost-effective, light, and easy to assemble. However, the performance of lateral load resisting systems in cold-formed steel structures specially the behavior of cold-formed steel shear wall...
متن کاملFlexural performance of layered ECC-concrete composite beam
The pseudo strain-hardening behavior of fiber reinforced engineered cementitious composites (ECC) is a desirable characteristic for it to act as a substitute for concrete to suppress brittle failure. The use of ECC in the industry is, however, limited by its high cost. To achieve higher cost/performance ratio, ECC can be strategically applied in parts of a structure that is under relatively hig...
متن کاملFatigue and Overloading Behavior of Steel-Concrete Composite Flexural Members Strengthened with High Modulus CFRP Materials
Due to corrosion and the continuous demand to increase traffic loads, there is a need for an effective system which can be used to repair and/or strengthen steel bridges and structures. This paper describes an experimental program, recently completed, to investigate the fundamental behavior of steel-concrete composite scaled bridge beams strengthened with new high modulus carbon fiber reinforce...
